Minecraft has been playable on a PC for quite some time but recently the game made its way to phones and Xbox 360.  The name of the game essentially says it all, you mine to get supplies and them craft stuff out of the supplies.  Everything in the game is cubes, which makes building things that are circular a challenge.  While playing the game you can either join online severs with other people or create you own world.  The created world is a flat surface that randomly generates as players walk further from the spawn location.  Within the world of Minecraft there are many monsters that will come out at night if you are not in peaceful mode.  Probably the most known of these monsters are creepers which will explode if they get close enough to a player.  If you are lazy you can play creative mode instead of survival in which there is no need to collect materials you already have unlimited everything.  Overall Minecraft is cheap compared to other games and is worth every penny.  Many of times I have went back to playing after getting bored with other games.

Guild Wars two released August 28, 2012.  Anyone that bought the game pre-release got to play in a three day head start.  Guild wars two is a massive multiplayer online game that is also free to play.  Which is a big deal for a computer game because most that are online with others you have to play a fifteen dollar monthly fee.  Graphically it is a beautiful game and runs smooth.  My main character is maxed out level-wise, but I have not finished the main story but so far it has been very interesting.  Their are some bugs here and there but Areanet seems to be trying to keep up with fixing them.  I never played the first one so I'm not sure if the story picks up where it left off or not.  There are five very different races to choose from and eight different professions. Overall the game is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy meeting new people and massive multiplayer online.

Hello I'm Josh O'Neill. After going over my girlfriend's house and watching her brother play games on his computer, I was intrigued to move up from simple gaming consoles to a computer that was built for games.  So in February of 2012 I met up with him and got him to pick out all the parts I needed and signed at the bottom.  By the time all of my parts showed up, I was about to die and of course I had class that day so I had to wait until after class for him and I to both have time to put it together.  Everything has been down hill from there.  I'm completely in love with games on my computer. I have a PS3 and a XBOX 360, and I have not bought a new game for either one since I bought the computer.  On this blog I plan to give my opinion of games I have personally played.  This is my first stab at something like this so fingers crossed.
